Lovers Lie is an up-and-coming indie band based in Connecticut. After playing several local gigs, they suddenly discovered that they would be opening for a touring band with paying ticket-goers and wanted to take this opportunity to get their name out there with some sticker swag to hand out to their fans.

LOGO DESIGN

Lovers Lie wanted some logos to turn into merch they could give away or sell at gigs and wanted to project a light-hearted, not-too-serious image. It was also important to be able to incorporate their Instagram handle to extend their brand and give new fans a way to find out about future shows.

The first concept was the burger logo – I mean, who doesn’t love a nice burger? It had just the right amount of whimsy and weirdness.

The second concept came from the childhood tradition of plucking daisy petals to find out if “he/she loves me, he/she loves me not”. The attitude of the daisy can be interpreted as “lacks-a-daisical” (pun intended).

The third concept was a take on vintage tattoo art, which could also be produced as temporary tattoos.

PRINT COLLATERAL

In order to make it easy to transport, a roll of stickers seemed the most practical. We reviewed the different types of stickers and decided on the kiss cut.

After reviewing several vendors for options and delivery time with the client, a decision was made, they arrived in time for the surprise gig and the stickers were a complete success!
