David Peck came to me as he embarked on a new career in voice acting.
He wanted to project an image of professionalism while also coming across as warm and genial.

LOGO DESIGN
After completing his training and getting his professional home studio together, David needed a brand identity. He liked the idea of using the image of a microphone, preferably one that is not too modern-looking.
The concept became the incorporation of a microphone cord into the text. After working with both his name and his title in that way, the “a-ha” moment occured when the cord led to “Voice Actor”.
The colors were chosen based on his wanting a down-home, red-white-and-blue feel and adding that golden yellow to represent his warm, soothing vocal style.
WEBSITE DESIGN
The next step after creating David’s brand was a website he could send people.
It needed to introduce his style, his range, and himself while keeping the same laid-back, inviting feel that he wanted to project.
Furthermore, it needed have his demo reels available for playing online to give potential casting agents a taste of what he can do.
We kept it to a one-pager as he’s just getting started – simple and to the point!
BUSINESS CARD DESIGN
Naturally, the next step was to create a business card for him to hand out and send folks to his website to hear his demos.
In order to maintain the branding established on the website, I used Adobe Illustrator to mimic the “swoosh” that appears below the header, which also lent itself to serve as a dark backdrop for his tagline and contact information.
